Educational institutions face rising energy demand across classrooms, facilities and technology. We support schools, colleges and universities in controlling costs, improving efficiency and reducing carbon emissions — while helping engage staff and students in positive energy behaviours. Together, we create safer, more sustainable learning environments where everyone plays a part in reducing consumption and shaping a greener future.
Fixed or shrinking budgets make it difficult to absorb rising energy costs.
Many educational buildings are old and inefficient (poor insulation, old boilers, lighting).
Energy demand spikes during school hours/terms and drops in holidays, creating inconsistent profiles.
Schools are under pressure to reduce carbon footprints and teach environmental responsibility.
Help institutions match term-time demand patterns and avoid paying for unused capacity.
Aggregate multiple campuses or academies to secure group buying power.
Recommend LED upgrades, smart metering, and heating control systems.
Support in sourcing green tariffs, REGO-backed electricity, and solar/PV feasibility.
For several years, South York Multi Academy Trust’s energy has been managed by various departments ranging from their Corporate Sales Team to Customer Care, and Environment and Sustainability. We have assisted in submitting their SECR reports and are currently working towards their Net Zero goals and renewable energy projects to reduce their energy spend and carbon footprint. Additionally, we claimed a refund of over £10,000 from suppliers after assessing their energy data and realising they had been overcharged on VAT and a government levy.
